本设计的目的是进行铀成矿预测，所要提取的数据为热液活动、构造线、围岩蚀变、成矿预测、矿化点及矿床等。运用GIS技术进行矿产预测是一项新技术，它为定性预测提供重要数据准备和空间分析的基础。通过专题GIS的设计与建设，建立起“诸广地区铀矿化信息空间数据库”，为“桃山－诸广成铀矿带地学专题GIS”提供基础地学数据。同时为“桃山－诸广成矿带铀成矿系统与勘查选区”提供一个集成的地质数据环境与分析平台。
