Jack Johnson (杰克约翰逊)一个成长在夏威夷海边的职业冲浪选手，在他厌倦了滑板的生活之后，跑去当导演拍摄了一部嘻哈歌手的纪录影片。后来又和民谣歌手合作，走入了唱片界。他不仅一手包办整张专辑的词曲、还会弹吉他，长的可爱讨人喜欢、有着诗人却不至文弱的阳光气息。出生在阳光满地的夏威夷，抱着吉他懒洋洋的在海边唱歌，是他最大的满足。

命运是很奇妙的，就跟海边的浪潮一样，不知不觉地会把人推到新的方向。从小在夏威夷长大，杰克强森会走路的时候也会冲浪，17岁的时候他已经是冲浪界的天才，以最年轻的年纪扬名于世界级冲浪大赛(Pipeline Masters)，正当体坛将他锁定成海滩明日之星，比赛后一个月，杰克强森在冲浪时发生严重意外，脸上缝了150针(但不影响他俊俏的外貌)，让他整整三个月无法出门，却也给了他三个月抱着吉他、创作音乐的时光；但是杰克强森并没有一股作气成为创作歌手，18岁的他选择到加州大学念电影，99年导演并且担任电影配乐完成了冲浪电影‘Thicker Than Water’，初执导演筒的他，赢得各影展最佳导演等大奖，眼见着杰克强森就要加入电影界，新的一波浪潮却迎面来袭；杰克自弹自唱的歌曲，早期就被冲浪巨星们作成卡带复制流传，命运的浪潮意外的把卡带辗转流传到唱片公司老板的手上…2005年的今天，杰克强森，这个海滩男孩，不只是冲浪天才、不只是得奖导演、他是全球销量300万张的创作才子。
