英国当红偶像组合Liberty X解放俱乐部的5位成员：Michelle Heaton、Jessica Taylor、Kelli Young、Kevin Simm和Tony Lundon，因为英国著名的造星电视节目Popstar走到了一起。但是他们并没有Girls Aloud那样既拿奖又出名的运气。他们当初与Virgin唱片签约的时候，还被认为是比赛的淘汰者而不受重视；他们也曾因为重名的缘故被迫把名字由Liberty改为Liberty X并且濒临解散的边缘。可是他们的单曲Just A Little却奇迹般地改变了他们的命运。如今，他们独特的R&B曲风和近20首上榜金曲已经证明他们是英伦最红、最受欢迎的5人组合。
Liberty X成名道路上的贵人当属Virgin唱片公司的Richard Branson，当年他和自己旗下的V2唱片公司给了Liberty X一张6张专辑的合约。2002年，Liberty X的首张专辑Thinking it Over大卖，也让他们获得了当年全英音乐大奖的最佳单曲和最佳突破艺人两项提名。迄今为止，Liberty X已经发行了3张专辑，2003年的Being Somebody让他们开始为世界乐迷所了解。2005年10月刚刚发行的第3张专辑X显示出他们的音乐较以前成熟.
