It was a tough week for the Rockets. After narrowly beating the Bobcats in Charlotte last Sunday, we have lost four games in a row. It did not help that Tracy McGrady hurt his elbow when we were playing the Lakers, but we feel we have good players and should still win these games. The NBA season is so long. Every team, even the best teams, go through rough stretches where you may lose a few games in a row and not play your best. The difference between the top teams and the lesser teams in the league is that the better teams never lose sight of the larger goal of improvement and team development, while the lesser teams begin to bicker, point fingers and assess blame. I think that we have a very resilient team and I hope we will stay together as a team and work to improve the things that we have not together as a team and work to improve the things that we have not done very well.
It is still very early in the season and we have had an unusually tough schedule thus far. Our team needs to stay the course and have faith in the plan. Our goal is to win a championship and we want to continue to improve throughout the season. We want to play our best basketball when the playoffs start. While we want to win as many games as possible, we want to take steps to make our team better every weekend. Hopefully, we look at our team when we lose and take steps to ensure that we don't make the same mistakes twice.
So Rocket fans, keep the confidence! We will do our best to correct the problems and get back to our winning ways.
Talk to you later, |
