　　babyface是近年来最突出的男歌手，重量级制作人，他的大众情人形象为大众所喜爱和接受。身为当今最抢手的制作人，在短短的数年内，Babyface便已为自己与其它艺人共造就了 115首流行与R&B 榜的畅销曲，其中涵括了 115首R&B 榜Top 10、 50首流行榜Top 10，以及16首的流行榜冠军曲，同时，他亦已赢得了九座格莱美音乐奖的肯定与荣耀。

　　Babyface的歌声有种温暖中带有纤细情感的特质，因此他可以唱出像「For The Cool In You」里的俏皮、「When Can I See You Again」里的痴情…，他的声音本身就如他的创作一般具有高度韧性及细腻的技巧，都是值得仔细品味、聆赏的艺术品。

　　babyface原名Kenny Edmonds，生于辛辛那提。80年代初在当地与朋友组建了the Deele。“Midnight Star”乐队将他们推荐给Solar唱片公司的Dick Griffey，为Carrie Lucas、The Whispers和Dynasty制作音乐。自那时起，他们先后为Sheena Easton、Pebbles、Paula Abdul和其它许多人制作出热门歌曲。

　　babyface真正出名始于1989年，他的第二张专辑《Tender Lover》发行200多万。babyface 在制作界和演艺圈中占据了一席之地，一系列热门歌曲的发行使他以浪漫的、大众情人的形象成为 10 年来最突出的城市男歌手。这一切实际开始于 80 年代的被人轻视的专辑《lovers》。单曲《whip appeal》和《it's no crime》成为节奏与布鲁斯榜和流行榜的十佳。 1991 年，发行了《a closer look》，而 1993 年的专辑《for the cool in you》获得了白金唱片，成为该年度最佳的节奏与布鲁斯专辑。自此，他已经是大红大紫，并且为Boyz II Men、Madonna和Houston·Whitney等歌手制作出多首热门歌曲。在第十三届格莱美音乐中，他也出尽风头，多次被上台领奖的歌手致谢。

　　1995 年，babyface 达到事业的顶峰，为 boyz Ⅱ men、madonna 和 whitney houston 参与的电影原声《waiting to exhale》制作出多首热门歌曲。 1996 年秋，他发行了《day》，但并未产生像他给别人制作的那样热门的歌曲来。
