这个学期开始学习翻译课程了，o(∩_∩)o…其实还是蛮喜欢的哦~~~教我们的老师叫候永化，是个小小的男老师，蛮可爱的~~~(*^__^*) 嘻嘻……，现在开始我把每次老师上课的时候讲的，课后练习以及我觉得比较有用，比较好玩的内容都发上来吧，我们一起学习哦~~~o(∩_∩)o… [s:51]  [s:51]  [s:49]  [s:49]

第一课：

主要是讲翻译概论（定义，性质，分类，标准），老师给我们罗列了不少翻译大家对翻译的定义，我这里列举几个吧~~o(∩_∩)o…

 翻译是运用一种语言把另一种语言所表达的思维内容准确而完整的重新表达出来的语言活动。
                                                      ---张培基（1980）

 Translation may be defined as follows: the replacement of textual material in one language (SL) by equivalent textual material in another language (TL).
                                                         ---Catford

 Translation is a craft consisting in the attempt to replace a written message and/or statement in one language by the same message and/or statement in another language.
 (Translating) is rendering the meaning of a text into another language in the way the author intended the text.
                                                      ---Peter Newmark

 To translate is to change into another language, retaining as much of the sense as one can.
                                                         ---Samuel Johnson

 Translating consists in reproducing in the receptor language the closest natural equivalent of the source language the closest natural equivalent of the source language message, first in terms of meaning and secondly in terms of style.
 “翻译就是在译入语中再现与原语的信息最切近的自然对等物，首先是就意义而言，其次是就文体而言。”（奈达定义）
                                                         ---Eugene Nida

奈达定义的三个优点

 明确地说明了要译的是什么（信息message）
 暗示了由于语言文化上的差异，原文和译文只能做到相对的对等（closest）
 考虑了译文的可接受性

我所用的教程同意的观点是：

翻译是把一种语言表达的意义用另一种语言传达出来，以达到沟通思想情感，传播文化知识，促进社会文明，特别是推动译语文化兴旺昌盛的目的。
翻译的性质：
 翻译是科学：翻译有规律可循
 翻译是艺术：翻译是译者对原文进行再创造的过程。
 翻译是技能：翻译有技巧，这些技巧可以通过讲授和翻译实践获得

翻译的分类：
 按照所涉及的语言而论，分为两类：
 语内翻译（intra-lingual translation）和语际翻译（inter-lingual translation）

 按照源语和译语的相对位置
  1、外语译成本族语
  2、本族语译成外语
 按照工作方式
  1、口译(interpretation)(又分为consecutive interpretation和simultaneous interpretation)
  2、笔译(translation)
  3、机器翻译（MT）

 按照题材(翻译材料的文体)
  1、专业翻译（科技文献、学术著作等）
2、一般性翻译（新闻报道、旅游宣传
   品、政府文件等）
3、文学翻译

 按照处理方式
  1、全译       6、缩译
  2、摘译       7、综述
  3、编译       8、改译
  4、译写       9、阐译
  5、译评

翻译的标准：
经典翻译标准（亦有异议）：
“信、达、雅”（faithfulness , expressiveness and elegance ）
                        ——严复

翻译实例：    （   红色字体为正确译法，都是老师课堂举例的，o(∩_∩)o…我觉得有些蛮好玩的呢~~~     ）
He is easily the best student in the class.
他很容易地成了班上最好的学生。
他绝对/无疑是班上最好的学生。（他比班上别的学生要好得多。）
The stranger robbed his wife.
那个陌生人抢了他的妻子。
那个陌生人抢了他妻子的钱（东西）。
I can’t agree more.
我不能同意更多了。
我完全同意。（我举双手赞成。）
They gave the boy the lie.
他们对男孩说谎。
他们指责男孩说谎。（他们指责男孩编造的这个谎言。）
This is a very good price.
这是一个非常好的价钱。
真便宜。
She sighed for her mother.
她为她母亲叹了一口气。
她很怀念母亲。（她渴望见到母亲。）
Her mother died of difficult labor.
她母亲劳累而死。
她母亲死于难产。
I won’t do it to save my life.
为了救自己的命，我不会干。
我（宁）死也不干。
I dare say he is honest.
我敢说他是诚实的。
我认为/我看/我觉得他是诚实的。
I have no opinion of him.
我对他没有看法。
我觉得他不怎么样？
Their panic was their only punishment.
惊恐是他们受到的唯一处罚。
他们只是受了一场虚惊。（有惊无险）
Do you have a family?
你有家吗？
你有孩子吗？
He was then bright in the eye.
那时他眼里放出了光芒。
此时他已（喝得）酩酊大醉。
Calculation never makes a hero.
计算界从来没有造出英雄。
举棋不定永远成不了英雄。

第二课：

这一课讲的主要是翻译的过程及方法。（中文大多为安安自行翻译，必定存在不少错误，请大家指正，谢谢~~~(*^__^*) 嘻嘻……）
过程： The famous standpoints from Eugene Nida（奈达的观点）
•  Analysis（分析）,
•  Translation（传译）,
•  Re-combination（重组）,
•  Inspection（检验）.
•  He prefers Analysis more than any other viewpoints because of its importance考虑到他的重要性，奈达比较看重分析这一步骤。（安安译）

George Steiner’s views（乔治斯坦纳观点）
•  Confidence(信任)
•  Engagement(进攻)
•  Absorption(吸收)
•  Compensation(补偿) or Recovering(恢复)

课本所接受的观点：
翻译的过程：
•  Comprehension 【理解】
•  Expression【表达】
•  Proofreading (or Checking & Polishing)【审校】
Preferred Process of Translation
•  Generally speaking, in the process of translation, Comprehension is of foremost importance, and Expression is the natural consequence of thorough comprehension, and the last step Proofreading is a necessity in which possible errors are to be avoided.
在翻译的过程中，理解是最重要的，而表达又是通过理解之后表现出来的自然结果/反应，审校是避免错误的必要步骤。（安安译）
•  The domestic scholars tends to argue that the process of translation is composed of two major steps: Proper Comprehension and creative Expression, and one more step is added to the process, namely, Checking & Polishing.
翻译届现在比较认同这样的观点：翻译的过程包括正确的理解和有创造性的表达，此外，还需要更进一步的过程----审校和修辞句子，让句子更有美感。（安安译）

Correct Comprehension【理解】
•  The comprehension of target texts is a never-ending process; the more thoroughly the target is comprehended, the better it is translated. 对翻译材料的理解是一个持续不断的过程，对材料理解的更透彻，就会翻译的更好。（安安译）
•  Have a general idea about the target text, and make notes while reading through要掌握全文大意，在（第一次）浏览的时候要做一些笔记。（安安译）
•  Detailed analysis during the 2nd-time reading在第二遍阅读的时候对翻译材料进行分析，（细读，仔细研究）。（安安译）
•  Go through for the 3rd time and catch the essence of the target text.对翻译材料进行第三次的阅读理解，抓住材料的中心思想或本质。(安安译)

•  (1).Semantic and syntactic analysis of SL 语义及语法分析----语言分析（安安译）
•  (2).The combination of logic analysis and linguistic analysis逻辑学与语言学相结合----逻辑分析（安安译）
•  (3).Awareness of context and background information了解译文的背景----背景分析（安安译）

Expression【表达】
•  “Expression” is derived from the principle of translation: truthfulness and smoothness. 理解源自于翻译应该遵循的原则----忠实性，通顺性。（安安译）
•  In other words, truthfulness and smoothness in the process of “Expression”must be equally achieved as they are complimentary to each other.换言之，表达过程中，真实性和通顺性必须一同被表现出来，因为他们是互补的。（安安译）

Notes on Expression（表达过程中的注意事项）
•  1.properly handling the relationship between truthfulness and smoothness; biased views is to be avoided.处理好忠实性以及通顺性之间的关系，千万要避免片面化的思想。（正确处理忠实与通顺的关系）（安安译）
•  2.correctly deal with form and content; content is preferred if form cannot be achieved.注意格式及内容，如果格式不能（做到与原文完全一致），内容应保证其准确性。（正确处理内容及格式）（安安译）
•  3.restrain individual factors and overcome the impact of Chinese grammar and confine the desire of creation. 避免受个人因素的影响，克服中式语法的影响以及克制创造欲。（正确处理克己意识和创造意识的关系）（安安译）

Proofreading【审校】
•  Proofreading is of vital importance in the process of translation, and serves as the last and determinative step for the proper translation审校是翻译过程中最重要的步骤，它是准确的翻译中最后一步以及具有决定性作用的步骤。（安安译）
•  The aims of the proofreading is to check whether the translated achieves the quality of accuracy, naturalness, and economy.

Some points about proofreading（审校过程中的注意事项）
•  To see whether there are errors as follows:检查是否有如下错误
•  1.year, date and number年份，日期，以及数字
•  2.name of places and persons姓名，地名，人物
•  3.be sure that there is nothing to be left out in the course of translating.确保在翻译的过程中没有落下（原材料的）任何部分（安安译）
